Downtown Kiwanis Club shares Christmas with the kids at Head Start

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville shared the Christmas spirit and happiness with the children of Lafayette Head Start at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency on Tuesday.

Members of the club felt a bit like Santa Claus delivering bags of toys to 146 children aged 3 to 5.

The Kiwanis Club has donated toys to children every year for almost 30 years, and club members spent the day wrapping up the gifts.

Head Start program director Paris Carnell said children will receive these gifts through the agency’s family advocates.

“I know they really appreciate and are grateful to have received these gifts, and we are very grateful,” said Carnell.
