IQ Fiber Announces Home Internet Deployment in San Marco – The Resident Community News Group, Inc.

IQ Fiber, the only local residential fiber optic Internet service provider in Northeast Florida, announces that it has selected San Marco for its second infrastructure project in the Jacksonville market. Construction on the $8.4 million project is expected to begin on Tuesday.

“We are proud to bring fiber optic internet to San Marco,” said Ted Schremp, CEO of IQ Fiber. “With this additional project, we are not only deploying a high-speed network purpose-built for the modern Internet, but we are also delivering a streamlined and simplified customer experience that eliminates the hassle that consumers endure today. Residents of San Marco will now have a smarter choice for high-speed broadband. »

The San Marco IQ Fiber project will enable symmetric speeds of up to 10 gigabits and is expected to be completed in 2022. Construction consists of the installation of underground conduits and fiber optic cables extending from the main Internet backbone directly into the homes of individual customers, enabling the fastest Internet speeds available while supporting the explosive growth in Internet usage and demand. With average broadband usage growing at more than 25% per year in the United States, demand has increased for the symmetrical speeds, lower latencies, and massive network capacity that fiber offers.

IQ Fiber is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, and provides state-of-the-art, 100% fiber optic broadband Internet access to areas of Northeast Florida that do not currently have access to modern symmetric broadband services.
